Call for Papers: Vocational Schools as Pathways to Higher Education: International Perspectives (Special Issue)

Provided by Prof. Christian Imdorf, Leibniz University Hannover, Germany, and member of VETNET.

Vocational schools at the upper or post-secondary level provide access to higher education in many European countries, but this phenomenon is hardly discussed in the research field of higher education access and social inequality. This is surprising given that the expansion of higher education is increasingly dependent on vocational access routes.

As a follow-up of the ECER 2023 VETNET symposium “Vocationally Oriented Schools as Stepping-Stones Towards Higher Education for First Generation Students?” in Yerevan, Christian Imdorf, Claudia Schuchart and Nadine Bernhard are launching a respective special issue project in the online journal Social Inclusion.
