Call for Proposals – TVET, gAI Literacy and Sustainability: Exploring the Underlying Rationalities

Provided by Vivian Harberts, International Project Coordinator, University of Bremen, member of VETNET.

A new edited volume on TVET, gAI Literacy and Sustainability: Exploring the Underlying Rationalities is now open for submissions. Focusing on Latin America and the Caribbean, it invites contributions that critically examine how generative AI literacies and green competencies are constructed, mediated, and enacted within TVET. The volume welcomes theoretically grounded analyses drawing on approaches such as critical discourse analysis, Foucauldian perspectives, and post-foundational theory. Descriptive or primarily solution-oriented contributions are outside the scope.

Submissions must address the specified geographical regions. Initial submissions (abstract and methodological section) are due by 15 June 2026.

The volume is co-edited by Fernando Bolaños Zarate (CIMA, Chile) and Vivian Harberts (ITB, University of Bremen), with Lázaro Moreno Herrera (Stockholm University) as Series Lead Editor.
