Volume 9 of Trends in Vocational Education and Training Research – Now Available!
We are pleased to present the 9th volume of VETNET’s Trends in Vocational Education and Training Research, brought to you by its editors, Christof Nägele, Petri Nokelainen, Natasha Kersh, and Barbara E. Stalder.
We invite you to explore, read, and cite the papers! All contributions are based on submissions accepted for presentation at ECER 2026 in Tampere, Finland, following a double-blind peer-review process. The full papers subsequently underwent an additional round of peer review and editorial revision.
The volume brings together more than 40 contributions addressing key developments in vocational education and training research, including digital transformation and AI, learning across boundaries, inclusion and participation, and VET systems and governance. In his editorial, Petri Nokelainen reflects on these themes and highlights the importance of understanding how knowledge is translated into meaningful educational and professional practice.
A special focus is dedicated to 30 years of VETNET, with two contributions reflecting on the network’s history, its development into an international research community, and future directions for VET research.
All papers are published open access and are freely available to the international VET research community.
