With great sadness, we share the news that Professor Gerald Heidegger passed away on January 10. Gerald made significant contributions to VET research and has been a longstanding member of the VETNET research community since its foundation. His loss is deeply felt within the VET research community and for all who had the privilege of working with him, Gerald served as an inspiration to many colleagues and friends. He will be greatly missed by all of us. 

Our sympathies go out to all those mourning his passing, his family, friends and colleagues.
